ALL ABOUT STAR AND STRIPES + GIVE AWAY

    Apparently today when I decided to dress for school I was feeling very American. I wore my thrifted star shirt that was actually a long dress as mentioned in the video, the shorts are also thrifted but they are from the brand Loft and I love that ! My lovely shoes are my combat boots from Steve Madden gosh their shoes are just awesome ! Maleni is wearing a thrifted top and bottoms the bottoms are actually Levis' ! I think Levi's will always be my favorite choice for denim. Maleni as also wearing Steve Madden shoes, but hers are some lovely sandals that she purchased from the Steve Madden Website. WHO SAID FLORAL HAS TO STAY SWEET ?

  
     Who said floral has to stay sweet ? Toughen up the look with dark floral and dark hue colors, add some combat boots or dark colored shoes far from oxfords to reduce the sweetness the floral brings. Then you are set to wear though floral, and also can't forget the snapback which we are trying to incorporate into some of our outfits. VEST DAY OF MY LIFE IN AMERICA

     Another lovely post and pictures of cool outfits :) So in this we have two  thrifted items.

The shades were purchased at Charlotte Russe, necklace at The Limited, the pants at H&M and the shoes at the Vans store that she studded herself. She loves this vest so much cause it's hooded and it has that adorable pocket one the back I think it's so cute, love it !  I would probably add some flower print fabric on the pocket maybe but that's just me. As she mentioned on our Facebook page which you guys should go like she mentioned how she turned this simple outfit into an outfit that stands out, and basically shouts individuality and uniqueness.

PIZZA DINNER

    It's Monday and many of you guys have gone back to school, back to the good old schedule. Luckily for me I have one more day to enjoy since I will attend school on Tuesday and Thursdays. So I hope everyone's Monday is going swell, I wanted to make the most out of my last homework free Monday and post some of the things my friends and I got into this weekend. We obviously didn't do anything crazy were a pretty chill group of people but we did enjoy some delicious pizza,salad and sweet tea. After that we visited a nearby antiques store and wandered around. Sorry about the picture quality I happened to forget my camera and had to use my phone as a back up. Enjoy the rest of the Monday and have an awesome week !

PS: I forgot to mention that the mason jars are the cutest cups ever I love them! I'll probably purchase some soon :)

BRAIDING AND SNAPBACKS

 

 

 

       So our last Sunday consisted of music,guitar playing, singing, snapbacks and braiding hair. Pretty much one of our last relaxing worry free Sunday before we go back to school. The first three pictures were taken by the lovely Nelson and his cool iphone, and the rest by me :) I hope everyone has a good last weekend before school starts up here in North Texas. Enjoy the weekend ! Also lastly since we will be starting school we might start posting on Sunday afternoons, so with that being said I hope everybody had an awesome week !

RAMONES / Yellow clutch

 In these pictures Maleni is wearing a soft grunge outfit, and I really think all the pieces put together make the outfit. I love that it is a versatile outfit that can be worn in the Summer,Fall and even the Winter seasons. Add some tights you have a Fall/Winter outfit. So basically she is wearing her lovely Ramones shirt with some denim shorts and brown boots, to add a soft side to the darkness. To add some statement to the outfit she pulled on a jacket with her favorite print on it, animal print and she also added a bright yellow clutch that is now her new obsession and that I'm sure she will be carrying everywhere this fall season to add bright color to her outfits.

Back to school outfits 2012 / video

 

       Here is the back to school videos my sister and I worked on, here are a few of the pictures we snapped while filming, the video explains the styles we used for back to school. I wanted to do a voice over but I don't I know how to work that on my computer yet. Instead of going for back to school outfits we decided to choose styles that way you can decide what style/look you want to go for and build up on your own. Our first style was the preppy school girl classic / Kate Middleton inspired look I just love how she's so polished and perfect and I use to actually rock that style in high school all the time. Our second look was the vintage/sweetheart look which includes floral , lace sweet and girly things like the bow I decided to add to my outfit. The third look was the Bohemian/ free spirit basically this style makes me think of patterns and colors like brown, maroon, mustard and turquoise I sort of think of a stylish hippie and I just love that look. The fourth look was our attempt at the Grunge/ edgy look when I think of Grunge studs, spikes,red,leather.denim,bulky shoes and rock t-shirts and very edgy items pop in my head. Lastly our last style was the lazy day style this was just a freebie/ wildcard we wanted to use, and yes what we are wearing on the video is what we would actually wear on a lazy day. When I'm feeling lay I love throwing on anything that is over sized or easy and flowy . California trip Outfits

 These are final photos from our California trip that will be posted, they make miss California so much. Enough of that these are the super cute outfits that we rocked and that our fellow California crew rocked as well. Hiking in California / California Mountains

So these are the last wonderful pictures that I took of the scenery in California. In these particular photos we went hiking and it was pretty fun I loved it and had so much fun! It was pretty hot at first but since I live in Texas I got used to the heat after a while. Looking at these pictures is so relaxing the hiking itself was so relaxing. What I really miss about California at this point is the beautiful mountains and these photos make me miss them even more. Our California trip was such a success I miss and I know we will go back soon and visit!
